Circadian variations of proteolytic activity in the digestive system of the crayfish Astacus astacus L
Published Online:
Abstract
The studies on circadian rhythms of behaviour, locomotor activity and physiological-biochemical processes in aquatic Invertebrates are closely connected with the problem of rearing and feeding of industrial crustaceans under artificial conditions. Determination of circadian rhythms of metabolic processes in crayfish is directed to elucidation of mechanisms of adaptation and acclimation of animals to changing environmental conditions.
