Abstract
Embryonic cells of the crayfish species Astacus pallipes and A. leptodactylus have been cultivated for about two months. The culture medium used has been constituted from data furnished by hemolymph analyses. The eggs were taken on the females when the eyes are visible through the chorion. The cultures were established on the one hand by the explant method and on the other hand after enzymatic dissociation with trypsin or collagenase. In some cultures we have obtained cells fixed to the bottom of the culture chambers while others produced free cells.
