Crayfish Orconectes limosus in Poland

Abstract
This paper reviews research by others on Orconectes limosus Raf. (= Cambarus affinis Say) in Poland. The review includes basic biology of the species as well as commercial harvest. There are two differing opinions on the presence of O. limosus in Poland. Some feel it is a pest, others feel it is beneficial. This paper also reports on this authors research regarding the bioenergetics and productivity of O. limosus in a reservoir.
