Abstract

Investigation was performed on anaerobic microflora in the digestive tract of the signal crayfish Pacifastacus leniusculus Dana fed natural diets. 3.8 x 108 viable bacteria (anaerobic + facultative) were detected in Ig of the contents of the intestine tract. Aerobic bacteria comprised 60% of the total bacteria isolated. Anaerobic gram-negative, small, non-motile rods were predominant. Gram-positive, spore-forming rods; gram-negative, large rods; cocci were also detected. When rearing microorganisms of the digestive tract contents in anaerobic conditions a higher diversity of morphological groups of microorganisms was revealed.
