The present status of the crayfish plague in Norway

Abstract
The first occurrence of crayfish plague in Norway was reported in 1971 (Hastein and Unestam 1971) in the Vrangselven and Veksa rivers. In order to try to prevent further spread of the disease up the Vrangselven river, two electrical fences as described before (Hastein and Gladhaug 1972), were placed across the river at Magnor (Figure 1).
