Abstract
The three most exported North American species of crayfish are Pacifastacus leniusculus, Procambarus clarkii and Orconectes limosus. A total of 24 species of ectosymbiotic branchiobdellidans (Annelida: Clitellata) have been reported on these three species of crayfish in North America. Cambarincola okadai and Xironogiton victoriensis have been collected from P. leniusculus in Japan, but only X. victoriensis has been reported on P. leniusculus in Europe. Cambarincola mesochoreus is the only introduced species on P. clarkii so far recorded and that is restricted to Italy. A list of the morphological characters used in the taxonomic keys and citations for those keys to North American branchiobdellidans are given.
